Lumbar Spine

Diagnosis of Persistent Low Back and Referred Lower Extremity Pain

Spine croppedIt is with great pleasure that I announce the September 11 2017 opening of registrations for my clinical doctorate or Masters level online training course on lumbar spine diagnostics.

This course is in 4 Modules so that the cost and time commitment may be spread over 2-3 years.

Modules 1 to 3 are all online, so all you need is a computer, Internet and a commitment to becoming a better diagnostician as it applies to the lumbar spine & pelvis. Module 4 is a practical workshop / seminar and these will be available in various locations from 2018.

This short video will give you a brief overview of the intent and philosophy of this course.

Online Modules 1-3 will each require about 30 hours of your time and the material is available over a 3 month period. All lectures are videos – audio-enhanced PowerPoint presentations varying in length from 25 to 50 minutes.

A sample free lesson, Lesson 5 of Module 1 may be viewed here:

The whole course is based on my own research and the research of others, and is replete with case studies, especially videoed assessments and treatments for common and less common disturbances presenting as back pain or sciatica. There are simple conditions, complex cases, and cases where I initially missed the right diagnosis.

The September 11 2017 launch is in the English language, but the course is now also available in the French language. It is planned that the course will become available in other languages over the next several years.

The below file is the full course description and further information is available from Southern Musculoskeletal Seminars (SMS) at www.musculoskeletal.courses.

There is a maximum number of places available so registrations for Module 1 are open for a month and will not reopen until 2018.
